Awards and Reviews

Short of amniocentesis and other medical peekaboos, guessing the gender of a soon-to-be-born has been left to sixth sense, old wives' tales (don't young wives get a say in anything?), and family tradition. Now comes a test that, essentially, accumulates and organizes all the signs and certainties of classic superstition under one roof, then plays the odds. You let it know whether your feet are colder now, or the same as before you got pregnant, whether you eat or refuse the heel of a loaf of bread, how hairy your legs are, if you you've had dramatic chest development or not, and so on. 19 questions in all. Its fun to play and a jaw-dropper when it works...er, if it works.

Childbirth Done Right : Childbirth can be a daunting proposition, especially your first time. Want to make sure your delivery goes the way you want it? Look no further than Interactive Birth Plan. Just click off your preferences in the boxes it provides, and it spits back a summary of all the things you would like to have -- or are demanding to have - when the moment arrives: from type of anesthesia to type of music. The resulting printable document may not hold the power of law in many places, but it does provide a concise summary of your game plan for your regular care provider or for those who might be seeing you for the first time. The site's other sections provide links, FAQs, and articles, making this is a strong and strengthening site for any soon-to-be mother.
